Starting on Canada Day, my husband and I will be doing a Tidal Bay challenge. Earlier last month, Bishop Cellar had a featured wine box called the 12 Tides. The 12 Tides is an event hosted by Taste of Nova Scotia where wine lovers get to try the newest Tidal Bay wines from different wineries in Nova Scotia. Due to Covid 19, this event was canceled but people were able to create the 12 Tides in their very own home.
Here are the featured Tidal Bay wines we will be trying!
What is a Tidal Bay wine? It’s a blended white wine that is only made in Nova Scotia. Every winery puts their own special touch to their Tidal Bay which makes it unique. I was excited when I saw Bishop Cellar offered a Tidal Bay wine box. The wine box included 11 Tidal Bay wines plus 1 extra random Tidal Bay wine. Our random wine was from Grand Pre! The wine box also included some swag which was a bag and NS map with all the wineries.
To make our 12 Tides at home interesting, I wrapped each bottle in newspaper so I don’t know what wine it is. Each week I will unwrap and reveal the Tidal Bay we will be trying and pairing a food with it. I will do a little write up about the wine, winery and the food I prepared. It will be a NS wine tour from our home.
I look forward to sharing our 12 Tides at home. I would love to hear what is your favorite Tidal Bay or NS Winery? I also encourage you to follow Bishop Cellar on social and visit their beautiful store. They are very knowledgeable. As always please drink responsibly and don’t drink and drive!
